WORK/RETIREMENT: Happily retired. We are very lucky to be living on the Central Coast, away from the human compression of the city. We enjoy the “built in” social distancing golf, tennis, beach walks and fishing.

FAMILY: Two sons. Four grand children. Three girls, one boy. Happy, healthy and great fun! We have regular wonderful video virtual visits with our grand children and happily married families. We are concerned about our son and his family being locked in Hong Kong. You all know the problems

HEALTH: All good. I have had positive clearances regarding my heart, zero prostate problems, and those other measurements of my blood. Fortunately, the rest of the family are also happy and healthy.

DAILY ACTIVITIES: 35 minutes stretching at least 5 days a week. Cooking or assisting when I can (my wife is a fabulous cook!) (I’m not bad, either) Enjoying a modicum of wine. Minimal fiddling with financial matters other than finding new and exciting ways to spend. Sitting in front of this bloody computer answering emails…like this one!

WAYS YOU KEEP FIT: Playing Golf twice a week (walking 18 holes): one hour of tennis twice a week : Beach walks twice a week: lots of home maintenance (assisting my wife in the garden, cleaning etc). Petanque on Sunday afternoons with a bunch of Francophiles. Cleaning and maintaining our pool (which is right under an array of lovely palm trees)

WHO FROM OUR MOB YOU KEEP IN REGULAR CONTACT WITH: Greg James, Chris Gibson, Tony Tribe, Peter Lander, Tim Edwards (now living in NZ)

VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES: Nothing formal, but I respond willingly to friends in need. I am on a local Residents Committee that seeks to maintain and/or improve the quality of life and the special environment in the Killcare, Hardys Bay, Pretty Beach and area.

HOBBIES/INTERESTS: I have a 1932 Ford Phaeton ( 4 door tourer ) that I spend money on, and occasionally drive. I love fishing, and fish off our beach in the early mornings…mainly catch and release as the little bastards are too small. I love following the progress in the business of our sons, their wives and our grand children. All of them are very clever and heavily into I.T. and starting to embrace AI. Following the progress and decline of Donald Trump

COMMITMENTS: Stupidly, I signed up for auto pay on Council rates, Telstra, and just about everything else that seeks to bleed my diminishing finances. Almost daily contacts with our families.

VIEW(S) OF LIFE: If worrying can help solve your problems, by all means worry. But if it won’t help … avoid worry. It is counter productive and a waste of time.

AND ANYTHING ELSE: Be kind. Value your friends. I hate my new BOSE Sound Bar! Imagine finding out that after spending $1,250 you learn that the remote control is borderline useless and you have to use your PHONE APP to control it!
